I’m looking to replace the factory rubber on my ’13 Sportsman 500 H.O. The original Carlisle 489s are done…..
Machine is stock & is ridden in the mountains over rocky terrain & occasional encounters with mud so the tire style needs to be a good "all around" performer, something in the same league as a Bighorn.
I’m open to installing different rims at the same time in order to install larger tires but am not interested in lifting the machine & would prefer to keep it as narrow as possible. The need for re-clutching for the larger tires is understood.
Any recommendations on tire / rim combos that provide adequate suspension clearance on a stock machine & good all around performance for aggressive mountain riding?(as aggressive as a 500 H.O. can be….LOL)
Thanks in advance,
Glen
