2015 Rubicon 4X4 DCT. Just purchased new, I’ve put 30 miles and <6 hrs. on it. Dealer said first service is @ 100 miles or 20 hrs., whichever comes first. I plan on switching over to fully synthetic fluids @ that time and I would like some input, please. I’ve always run Mobil 1 fully synthetic fluids in all of my vehicles except for Amsoil pre-mix oil in my snowmobiles when I lived up north in the UP of Michigan. The dealer said that Honda makes/sells a fully synthetic engine oil they can change it to @ the first service. I also have the green (ethylene glycol) antifreeze whereas the 2016’s come with the blue antifreeze (per my dealer, for aluminim engines). My questions are:
1) Go with the fully synthetic Honda or Mobil 1 engine oil @ first service?
2) Should I change the front and rear differential oil to fully synthetic?
3) Does Honda make/sell a fully synthetic differential oil?
4) Should I change the green antifreexe out for the blue?
Whichever I go with will be what I stay with for the life of the machine. Price really isn’t important; highest quality and what’s best for the longevity of the machine is. I know Amsoil makes a great product but it’s kind of hard to find in my area. I prefer to go front-to-back with the products from the same manufacturer as I’ve never been one to mix brands. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
