Suspension Damage

I had my first oops moment. Hit a large rock in middle of the trail. See attached photos. Hit the lower arm at the attachment point to the frame. Frame itself looks fine but A arm is toast. Anyone repair damage like this. Seems that it would be a common occurrence. The other issue is the power steering stopped after hitting the rock. Any idea why that would happen? There was not impact to steering rack or wheels.
