So I pulled a bone head move and stripped the threads in the front diff. That bolt is soo short, has about 2 threads. I contacted the dealer and asked if they sold a longer plug and they said it had to be the exact same length. Now Ive read some guys using Gold plugs or longer plugs but on older machines. Anyone know if I could get away with using a bit long bolt? Im so close to getting it to hold that if I take my washer off I can get to grab but think a few extra threads would be the ticket. Any input?? Im pretty sure the dealer wants an 1 hour of labour to do the same thing but could be wrong.
