Stock Polaris battery Leakage?

Ok, take it easy on me, I’m an Automotive Tech with zero Quad/Bike experience until I bought a new 14 570. I use a maintainer on and off, NOT Continually. Every time I put the charger on, it flashed full. I have not been on the quad much this summer. One ride in the spring and ran it a cpl times since. I went in 2 days ago and seen the battery looking like it leaked out a bit and not enough juice to start. A few mins with the maintainer and it fired right up. Now as an Automotive guy, I have not had to top up a battery since before my apprenticeship. I had just assumed that these batteries were a gel type, once filled, never touch the caps again. Do I need to top this battery up with distilled water? Clean it and try it again, or give up and get a replacement? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I have read alot on here about bad batteries, but this one has given me zero grief until now, ( 2 years exactly) Thank you in advance, for any suggestions or help.
