I have a 04 grizzly 660. I have the dreaded noise that sound like the one way bearing everyone talks about. The noise occurs as the engine come to idle. There is a slight whirl noise and then it sound like two metal parts slamming together. I have isolated the noise to the engine. I have removed the primary sheave and ran the engine and the same noise occurs right as the engine gets to idle from a higher RPM. Here is the kicker. I have already replaced the clutch, one way bearing, and the clutch drum/housing. The noise is EXACTLY the same. I am totally lost now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
