Ok folks, I need some help. This past weekend I went riding with my buddies, and I never go in real deep water. First time I went I got in deep water on accident by not knowing how deep the hole was. Water was at the bottom of the exhaust pipe. Rode the rest of the day no problems. This time I got in mid tire depth maybe a tad bit deeper. After going through the hole, we sat and talked for about 5 to 10 minutes. My 4 wheeler completely cut off and had a hard time starting back up. Then when you revved it it would bog down and cut off again. Wouldnt idle, or let you even touch the gas without cutting off. I took the gas cap off and she ran pretty good. Put the cap back on and it ran and I put it in gear and it cut off. We had this issue for a little while then it finally acted right again and I went through another hole so I could get on dry land, about the same depth and it happened again, this time longer. I couldnt get the thing to stay running and it was having a hard time starting. it would crank for minutes at the time and wouldnt start. Then once it started, you press the gas and it would bog down and cut off again. After finally getting going again, I stayed away from holes that went past my hubs and it ran fine the rest of the day. Like I said, the first time I went riding it was fine and then this time it acted up.
Any ideas?
