Sportsman 450 short?

I have a 2007 Sportsman 450 (Carbureted). Everything was fine until after I washed it down after a ride, I turned the key to start and all I got was the battery blinking warning. I pull started the bike so I could get it back on the trailer and home.

When I got home, the bike started right up with the key start. I assumed maybe it had gotten a little water somewhere and this was a fluke. I went back out to ride it a week later and had the battery light come back on.

The battery had plenty of power on the starter solenoid was fine. Even jumped past the solenoid and still got the battery light. Then somehow the bike started with the key.

The computer (ECM?) was unscrewed and unhooked, blown out with air and had grease put back in an attempt to make sure no water got in. Hooked everything back up and turned the key… and nothing. No lights no nothing.

I then jiggled the wires coming into the bottom of the computer and the bike started back up. After it was running I jiggled them again and it died.

So I’m assuming I’ve got a short in one of the wires or somehow the computer may have lost its ground?

Has anyone had this happen before, or know what to check?

Thanks
