Our family is heading to the Black Hills this weekend and we were planning on taking our ATVs so us guys can do some trail riding.

We have never done trail riding before….Can anyone provide some insight as to what to expect as far as registration, atv requirements etc? I read up on the Black Hills National Forest trails website, but am still not completely sure as to how the whole registration thing works.

Also, if we have a bike that is over the 96db noise limit, is this going to be an issue?
