Some hunting and Rancher pictures

Last week I spent my annual week in Dorchester County, MD chasing the Marsh Ghost, the elusive Sika deer. Thanks to my 2016 Rancher I can access areas that I couldn’t get to any longer due to my age (72) and bad knees. It performed great last year and now it did as well this year. I increased the stiffness of the suspension which allowed for a better ride with two hunters and gear. One day we had two of us, two rifles, packs and two 50# bags of corn.

The main trail in which was beginning to get a high center in certain spots. Never got stuck though but had to improvise three different paths around a particularly nasty hole. Had to winch out of it last month during a work party.

Second shot was where we had to park.

Next was a nasty muddy part but the wheel ruts were solid underneath and didn’t give us a problem.

Next is a spike stag in the Honda drop basket.

Last is the meat pole with two spikes and two hinds (does). The one got half eaten by foxes overnight. I passed up a small spike and hind but the one big stag I couldn’t get a clean shot at so I actually didn’t shoot one this year but came home with the one on the right. We had a spare deer.

Just thought you guys would like to see what we do with these machines which to me was worth its weight in gold.
