A friend of mine brought me his 2010 sportsman 850 XP with running issues. With the help of this site and a tear down I believe the problem to be a slipped gear. I pulled the motor out today and split it. There is an arrow on the gear but no mark on the crank. Is the mark on the gear suppose to line up with the bottom of the rod journal closest to the gear? This one does not. Its a couple teeth away from that spot. Does anyone have a good pic of how it is suppose to look?
