Shadetree lucked out.

Yesterday I went to an auction and wound up with a 87 350 (non running) but otherwise pretty nice for the age.

The auction was just a couple miles from the house, sooo I thiought I would just pull the little tilt trailer and haul it with the 300. For some reason it would start but only idle for a minute or two and die. Odd because this thing has always been 100% dependable even in the winter at 20 below temps. Maybe it was jealous. lol

Anyway took the artic cat and picked it up, brought it in the shop and cleaned the air filter, and installed a new plug, no luck. dribbled a little gas in it and it would fire up till it run out.
I could hear the fuel pump running like it should, but it wasn’t getting any gas to it, so took the lines off and blew through them, then shot a little air to the tank to prime the pump, and this puppy busted right off and idled like a new one.
This thing turned out to be in great shape, runs, shifts, just like it is suppose to. Every light works, all the brakes work and feel like they should.

It is missing the one small plastic panel by the kick start, and I need a new gas cap and seat or at least a seat cover, and there is a little play in the tie rod ends.

So Shade tree lucked out, him being the resident 350 old school guru, I figured I would have a ton of questions for him. lol
