Examples of rear seats on hunting utv’s.
So wanting to spend the least I could on this project, I started thinking on making a bench seat until I noticed these in my mancave.
I already had a flat surface with the rear rack I made earlier.
After grinding the welds off the chairs and removing the legs, I made a frame to mount the two chairs.
Not liking the little opening on the top of the chairs, I went buy an aluminum cattle Xing sign at the store to use for sheet metal. I cut one piece for each chair, painted them black & put a RZR decal on each one.
Here is the painted frame with the seats. Notice the "RZR" decals.
I dropped the seat belts to the hole right underneath where they came installed so I could use that top hole. I made two RZR S type bars to extend to the back and attached to the back of my rack. This is to provide some side protection or to hold on to.
I also made a step with a 6" rizer/drop hitch so the kids can get up here easier.
So here is the final product. The only thing I’m waiting on is a cushion I’m having made that fits in front of both seats. Kinda where the back part of the legs will fall on the rack. It will kinda extend the seating area because my rack was kinda deep. I also installed seatbelts but you may not see them.
Do you think they look ok? I made them for cheap and the kids sure love the comfort instead of sitting on the rack! I’m in a wheelchair so this project took me three times the time you could do it. LOL
