Buddy’s 680 is smoking and getting worse, so looks like I’m gonna have to do a rebuild on it. In looking at nflow and G&H’s websites neither shows a machining service for the Rincon cylinder. Is there something special/ weird about the Rincon cylinder or does it bore just like any other Honda cylinder (I know the 650 cylinders were plated and thus not bore-able)?
Also thinking about trying the 702 big bore from Thumper. It’s $345ish including the bore (have to ship the cylinder to them). I don’t see being able to do it a size over stock a lot cheaper than that. Of course, if he does the BBK it looks like he’ll have to pick up a programmer and run 93 octane in it. That correct?
Anyone here have the 702 in a Rinny?
I looked at Rinconriders.com. Doesn’t look like the site gets much traffic.
