Radiator Relocate

So I bought the WildBoar radiator kit for my 13′ outlander 800 I finally got all the hoses routed and everything setup, no thanks to the instructions. Then I referred to the repair manual on how to bleed the coolant; so I took off the reservoir cap, began to fill the top of the radiator from the top radiator hose line, I then cracked open both cylinder bleeder screws to let excess air out. Then I replaced the reservoir cap but it was full to the brim and started to leak out of the little tube onto the floor and the radiator wasn’t even completely full. Do I fill the radiator to the brim, replace the upper hose then let the reservoir just slightly pressurize and overflow? I don’t see how it will even be half full again in its current position?
