I am looking at this as an option to help with ground clearance when riding two up on my 570. I was thinking HD springs, but a person mentioned this option and I have no idea how it works and how to do it.

Has anyone ever done this? Anyone have instructions on how to do it? Any disadvantages or risks of doing this? Does it have to be PVC? Can it be steel pipe?
