So I had the seats out checking out the fuel vent line, and decided to wire up the PRP seat heaters for the cold weather.
Since the fuse block and battery are right there, I was hoping to use one of the empty spots in the fuse block to hook the seats (7.5amps per seat) to "Key-on" power. None of the empty spots have power to them….. and none of the existing circuits have heavy enough wires to tap into and draw an extra 15amps of power from……
At this point the only thing I can think of is tapping into one of the circuits that are "Key-on" power and use that to close a relay that could be wired directly to the battery. The power required to close a relay shouldn’t be very much of an extra load on an existing circuit? Anybody got any other ideas?? or am I on the right track??
Thanks in advance,
Keith
