Recently my dps check light came on. I looked around at the wires and found them rubbing onto my plastic valve cover in between the snorkel I installed. I do the rubbed off cables and separated them and re soldered them. I plug it back in and the power steering works. Just pulls one way really hard. Do I need to have it recaliberated. I believe there’s magnets within along with something that tells where the stem is set at zero degrees. Or do I need to have the wires soldered just right so it gives it the perfect amperage and voltage to the power steering? I looked at the electric motor built within and everything seemed normal. Any ideas? I’d take it to my local dealer but they’ve screwed me and others over before and they’re just a bunch of clueless parts replacers anyway.
