I apologize for getting into a subject that has been kicked around several times but I recently attended a ATV jamboree in central California and after the third day riding in just moderately dusty conditions, I checked my air filter and was amazed how totally filled up it was after starting clean, I should add that the inside was clean so at least no internal dusting. I was riding my Maverick and a friend my RZR, and comparing the two the Maverick had very little dust. I suspect this was because the intake for the Maverick was up front and higher but regardless the difference was huge. I have come to the conclusion the answer is some kind of snorkel with a decent pre filter clamped on top. Has anyone come up with such a setup and have some pictures? Even my dealer says the system is crap.
