Tech installed my Camoplast T4S tracks I bought with the machine. I told him when I went to do it myself, all the brackets were wrong, and steering limiters were missing, apparent to me they were not for this machine. They said bring it in and they will install for free. Well… When you spin on a lug nut, shouldn’t it free spin until it makes contact? Not according to the tech who impacted them all on with the (wrong) adapter hardware. (Which also means no torque wrench was used at 45 lbs ft.) Then installed the tracks with the doodad brackets. Did no suspension adjustments, and didn’t install the missing steer limiters. I picked up the machine, backed it off my trailer, noticed it didn’t sit right. (Tracks were crowned like pitched wrong) Backed it into garage and removed the tracks to install my tires where 16 wheel studs were jacked. Called the dealer, they said bring it back and they will make it right.
Back at their shop now for 16 days, they said the tracks came off a ranger, no wait an arctic cat, no a 4 wheeler, no a kymko. and the brackets appeared to be homemade. (Didn’t I call it the first time?)
So to correct this, they are installing a new set of Polaris Prospector Pro Tracks with all new mounting hardware (wheel lugs and studs included).
Seems I paid in full for the machine WITH tracks… They are doing me right I feel by correcting the whole mess, (5 weeks straight), The service manager quit over all this! I wasn’t expecting that. So the question remains….
Which is better? Camoplast T4S? or Polaris Prospector Pros?,
