Durhamtown Plantation was where this went down last week between a Polaris General 1000 (owned by ATV.com writer Rick Sosebee), RZR 900, High Lifter Edition Polaris Ranger, and an ACE 900.

First up to take on this muddy drag strip is the General and his friend’s Polaris RZR 900. While his competitor was in 2WD, Rick put the General in 4WD for more traction in the three-inch layer of tacky mud. Unsurprisingly, the General took off like a rocket and won the first round.

Still confident, he sidled up to the next competitor, a High Lifter Edition Polaris Ranger that was sporting a set of huge Outlaw2 tires. While it is an improved version of the Outlaw, the tires were still no match for the slick mud and the General. Rick bagged another victory and made his way to the start point…
