I’m a current 2012 Outlander XMR 800 owner from the UK (Surrey), and could really do with some opinions regarding my next purchase! Having competed in Croatia Trophy this year my bike is pretty battered but more importantly has been slightly unreliable over the last 12 months. I’ve been offered a good deal on a new 570 Renegade X XC and am considering changing – I’m drawn to the reliability of the G2 over the G1 as well as the 3 year warranty, as well as the agility of a Rene over a heavier Outlander XMR.

I have a couple of concerns – the riding I do is pretty extreme and am planning on competing again next year at the Croatia Trophy event – having never ridden a SWB, am I going to find less stabiility with the SWB of the Rene over the LWB XMR? I’d be interested in people’s experiences of whether the Rene is a bit ‘tippy’ when going up / down the really steep stuff?

I’m less concerned about the power as I tend not to use it on the road a great deal, it’s more around the ability on the technical stuff.
