It was starting "okayish"(2nd starter hit) when I picked it up Friday from the dealer again, unloaded from the truck and rode around fine for the afternoon. This afternoon(Satursay), I opened the garage door(unheated) and pushed it outside, stayed there for 30 minutes while I was snowblowing.
I have a very good dealer, they even picked up the machine twice from my place. They are trying to fix it but they are now out of options and wondering what to do when I bring it back Monday after work.
What they have done so far in 3 visits… It’s all under warranty and i’m just out 50$ for the deductible but it’s a PITA not having a reliable machine.
-Swapping with a known good one for testing.
-Changed sparkplugs
-Replace crank position sensor(they mention something had "rubbed" on it?).
-Purged, checked and pressure test fuel system(pump, line injectors)
-Checked fuel filter
-Stator charges ok
-No software updates needed
-Check valves
-Did a leakdown test
-Checked a bunch of wiring.
Anyone got another idea? Short of replacing the motor and ECM. Weak coils? Starter not strong enough? I really want them to fix it… And they dont want to see me coming back again 🙁 My wife is getting pissed… she likes her ATV and wants to ride… i’m getting the short end of her humor until it’s fixed :th_smiliefrustrated
