Hi everyone,
Looking at buying a 1997 Kodiak as a 2nd Atv. Dont mind getting a bit of a fixer upper to run around the cottage When I went to check out a 1997 Kodiak 400 it was pretty hard starting. Quite noticeable ticking after getting it going. What really caught my attention was the oil coming from crankcase vent tube hose. In the first 10 minutes of the Kodiak sitting and running it looked like the Kodiak dripped about 1/8 of an ounce underneath the bile. How would this much oil get out of the crankcase vent?? I assumed the ticking was from the valves.
Kodiak idled rough but actually ran pretty good on the test drive and seems to have alright compression.
Thanks
