Seems most forums have a thread all the meatheads goto to talk gym talk and such so figured I’d try it here. Don’t need to be meathead, any gym talk really just to see what guys are into/doing. But beings as how new yrs brings out the 2 week commitment folks to the gyms, figured be a great time to get this started.
Couple yrs ago got back to lifting, had a bunch of stuff already in the basement but time seemed to not exist so finally made time when some guys at work decided to get their old asses back into it too. I farted around doing typical body building type routines doing a body part/s day. Wasn’t getting result I was after so changed up and started doing the madcow stronglift program and things have been going well, getting bigger, strength is way up now from when I began, but I kinda hold myself back since I don’t always make it a thing to stay on schedule with our kids taxi service needs to travel and hs sports practices, games, tourneys.
Tough too being an old fart with a destroyed body from a life a physical labor but found proper technique has really helped take pressure off bad joints/parts and allowed me to make gains.
Anyhow, this is what I have in the utility room with a rack of dumbbells behind me not in picture, allows for safe execution of all major compound lifts and 6 weeks ago got my 14yr old sports jock on a routine and she is already making fast gains in strength thanks to youth lol.
And for a laugh to all of ya’s that have spent time in a gym at some point, you’ll love and relate to this 🙂
