I am considering adding a 9" Led light bar on my 2004 Rancher 400 AT. The light bar is 54 watts. I would like to tie it into the existing accessory socket wiring so it will only come on when the ignition is on. I also plan on using a handlebar mounted on/off switch. My questions:
1) is this size (54w) okay for my electrical system?
2) should I wire the positive side back to the battery?
3) should I use a relay?
4) do I need an inline fuse to positive?
I am only mildly proficient with wiring. Any help will be appreciated. Please be as specific as possible.

Hey I just wanted to share my most recent project that I’ve been working on.
I can’t sit still and love making things with my hands and whether I’ll ever need a hitch to adjust or not on my quad, well frankly I can’t answer that lol.
The main reason is this is basically the first beta version for what I would call a bigger brother that I will make for my truck at some point.
First I got some 1.5" o.d. tube, set it up in the Bridgeport and drilled 5 holes 1" apart so I’d have 3 adjustment points.
Then got some 1.5" I.d. Tube that will be the part that adjusts and drilled two half inch holes 2" apart. The bent a piece of half inch stock and welded it together.
Still have to weld on the piece of 1.25 square that goes in the receiver but the majority of its completed.
Y’all I’m new..I need help with my grizzly….anyone out there that knows anything about a 1998 600 grizzly carburetor / idle cable-screw?
I’m 34 from Virginia , I love riding, and drawing….seems like I’ve been working a lot here lately on things, and it just keeps raining.
Having some issues with a 125 grizzly, I bought it knowing it had some issues. The one that has me stumped is I replaced the drive clutch and I tighten the nut to hold the sheaves on and it backs out every time the wheeler is running. I know all the parts are correct and all there. I feel I’ve tried everything other then welding the darn thing on. ANY suggestions?
Thanks
Where my idle control goes into my carburetor , well something is wrong. There is a threaded piece that screws into the carb, and it looks bent…is that right? Then it don’t screw in all the way to touch the spindle thing that my throttle cable hooks to. I can’t make it work…any help y’all? Please
Ever since I’ve had my grizzly 07 700 bought in 2010 I’ve had very stiff rear suspension. I am currently in the process of replacing axles etc and was wondering how much movement the a arms should have. When I tighten them up there is little to no movement. Is this the culprit for the stiff rear suspension? I’m wondering does that inner tube through the a arm bushing supposed to bind with the rubber bushing or move freely?
