My brother is not too happy with his Polaris lol…… When he drops it in reverse, it backs up without applying any throttle…He’s livid about it, since the dealer says he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. He also found out his front Diff is leaking. He’s already sick of it and its only 3 months old, he wants to go back to Japanese quads.
Anyone else have this issue?
Trying to work out a problem with my 550 Grizzly EPS (2010). When I press the engage 4 wheel drive button it can take some time to respond also the reverese is true when disengageing. Sometimes it will engage/disengage as expected! Any thoughts on what I should be checking would be very helpful. Cheers Tony
Well, I am trying to decide what to get for a second ATV. I have a 2013 Outlander Max 800. I’ve been looking at the Outlander 570XMR, Renegade 570XMR and the Outlander 650XMR. The Outlander 570XMR is about $1,500 less than the other two (Renegade 570 XMR and Outlander 650 XMR are the same price). I want something that is different than the Outlander MAX I already have. Don’t want massive power.
My local dealer also has a 2009 Arctic Cat MudPro 700 that is absolutely mint for about half the price of the Outlander 570XMR….
My 2010 Sportsman 500 HO has been overheating every time we have taken it out this summer. I have cleaned the radiator fins. Just took apart the water pump cover and the water pump is clean and functions when the machine starts up. On the other side I took the thermostat out, checked it in a pan of boiling water and it opens up and operates as normal. The cooling fan is operational (recently replaced). Any other ideas as to why I am having this overheating issue?
I came across an issue with my 650 xmr this past weekend. While out riding in some mud I got a check engine light and it flashes across the screen saying HI temp limp mode. If I turn it off and put the key back to on without starting I can hear the fan turn on for a little while then turns back off. Most of the mud I was riding in was the thick stuff nothing really even close to the radiator.I sprayed the radiator this past weekend with a hose and it didn’t seem to help any.
I have checked the coolant and I do have coolant. I brought it home and once its cooled off starts fine runs for about 10 min then the message flashes again. It looses power stutters then shuts off. Haven’t had a chance to pull codes on it yet. I found somewhere on here talking about the sequence of flipping the key and certain buttons to pull codes does this work? Any possible ideas as to what may be the culprit and what I could begin checking? Really wanted to have it ready for a ride this coming weekend. Thanks in advance for the help.
Next thursday going to pick up my new 2016 camo grizzly eps .I want thank those who responded to my questions. Got to say sure am looking forward to it !! Let the goodies begin,new tires and wheels to start . First time atv buyer out the door price 9365.69. Don,t know how much better i could have done . I called around to about 6 dealers and ended up going with this one . Had a interesting experience with one dealer ,called him back with another dealer price and he told me ,i don,t want to buy it ? Like i just don,t want to buy one. I told him the dollar amount difference and he said they are lying! He said get in your truck and go get it now. All i asked is there anything they could do? A yes or no would have sufficed ! Hung up and the wife says i think it was really close in price. So i looked at the numbers and got me second guessing if i wrote it down correctly. Anyway the dealer was closer but misunderstanding or not he was a bad actor, just did not expect to be treated that way. Took his advice , next week i will get in the truck and go get my new Grizz. So I finally sold my big bear and got a grizzly and so far I love it! But I have a few questions when I’m going downhill with no throttle or when I’m going fast a let off the throttle there is a pop or backfire sound coming from the exhaust is this normal? And also after its warm it’s hard to start back it might be bacuse they run lean because of emissions it currently has 110 miles and 15 hours thanks!
I am looking for some people to ride with in Missouri. Non of my friends have quads and when I take my buddies they normally wreck my rides trying to keep up. I like to ride hard and fast most of the time. I have a 1k highlifter, 850 scrambler, and 700 raptor so I’m set up for about any terrain out there. I plan on riding at Chadwick some this weekend. I know this system fairly well if anyone wants to go.
