I’ve been working on a 2005 trx250 sportrax. It wouldn’t crank. Now it has a new battery and new starter and cranks just fine. It won’t run though unless I pour gas into the carb and then it idles smooth for about 5 seconds. I drained all of the old fuel out of the tank and carb but the carb leaks a steady stream from the overflow tube due to a bad needle valve I assume. This means I can’t leave the gas on.
I still have it all tore apart from the starter replacement and I can see that it would take very little time to replace the carb completely. Has anyone replaced their carb with a new one? I see a lot of cheap prices on the internet and I am tempted to buy one and try it since the starter I bought off Amazon went in smoothly and works perfectly. Any experience with a new carb replacement?
Having trouble with my 700. Hoping this site will help figure out what the problem is. Had a bad vib/noise coming from the front differential. I have disassembled the front end and pull the differential. I don’t see any problem with the gear that drives the limited slip assembly. I see how the diff. Lock works but don’t know if the gear that drives limited slip assembly should disengage. When I had the front jacked up the right tire was very hard to turn. WhatI need to know is how the 4wd engages. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi i just got a 2003 TRX250EX i was told it had a high pitch squeel when you crank it, guy was told it needed a crank, i found that you can not shift it can the transmission cause it to sound like that?

Just got back from our third trip to Marysvale this year to ride the Paiute Trail. The Fall colors are always amazing. If you can only go once, this is the time of year to go.
Buying a new Honda or after market muffler was between $300-500
What I did was removed the muffler and installed about 18" pipe in its place ,and bought a RV generator muffler for $25.00 and Hooked that to that back.
Got the idea from seeing one of those Stealth muffler adds as they look the same as a Onan RV Gen Muffler. And yes it is very quite on its own.
The winch is from Costco ,2000 lbs. for $65.00 It is just bolted on threw square tubing to the frame. Pulled at least 4 moose into my tub trailer already without bending the frame. Up to now I have not seen any newer quads out there that you can even mount a rear winch .

First time on site. I have a 1986 Fourtrax 350 And this is a great site.
I thought I come on this column instead of the tire column as I see i might get a better response .
Anyways as we all know these quads come stock with 24x9x11
Finding used tires for a 11 inch rim is nil.
Finding used tires for a 12 inch rim are in the pages on kijji
I found 4 new take off tires on rims that were on a yamaha rino 25x8x12
I thing going narrow is better as i will get less mud fling past the fenders.
Hight will only be 1/2" that no big deal.
But will these rims fit my 86 Honda ?
Anyone try this tire size.
Also found many 25x8x12fronts and 25x10x12 rear Anyone try this set up on a 86 fourtrax 350
Thanks
