Gord and I sneak out for an early morning rip on Thanksgiving weekend in Northern Ontario. The fall colours are in full effect and the DGATV trails are muddy!
For my 2002 (I think) grizzly 660, I am wrapping up a carb job. While reassembling the heat guard/gas tank, there is a small black hose that comes off a T-connector and I can’t figure out where it goes. The long part comes from the front of the grizzly, follows the electrical cables and continues to somewhere in the rear of the atv. The hose that comes off the T-connector is about the width of the white shield, or maybe a little shorter. Is this just some kind of vent? Can’t find where it would plug into anything.
Left my phone at Lowes tonight, so will get a picture of it tomorrow if my description doesn’t make sense.
Just curious if anyone has tried to upgrade a speedometer in a 04/05 Outlander 400 to a new digital style such as a 08 and newer. I have found where people have upgraded the needle style gauge to a digital but the 04/05 has more wires going to the speedometer.

New to the forum. This past week I picked up a 2004 400ex pretty clean for the age. Guy said he ran it parked it and didn’t ride it for awhile so I figured clean the carb good to go. Turns out that was far from the problem. Today I realized the timing chain was way off and after readjusting realized it had bent intake valves. Since I have to pull the head to fix the valves I’m wanting to go all out bore kit and a cam it already has an exaughst. Any tips on where and what parts to buy? I’m a marine diesel mechanic so install won’t be a problem. What setups are y’all running? Id like more bottom end and maybe add some on top if possible.
Hey guys, so a guy in my town is selling a 2012 sportsman 500 with 133hrs/1500 miles. He said it has a blown head gasket or cracked head. His kids were riding it and it overheated, so they parked it. He found a hole in radiator and the cylinder was full of water. He then drained it and has been sitting for 2 months. He is asking $1000 for it. I’m sure it will need at least a radiator and best case just a head gasket. Do you guys think it is a good deal to buy and try to fix??
