So I am replacing the output cover on a DS90X and there are ball bearing assemblies in the case that are very tight. I bought a heat gun to heat the case and I see in the manual it states to freeze the bearings then install. I was wondering if anyone has attempted this before and if I need a press to install the bearings? I don’t want to break the new cover or destroy the bearings. Any tips would be appreciated.
My quad started smoking bad at high rev. I checked compression and it’s at 75 which I am being told is fine since has decompression. It doesn’t smoke at start up so it’s not valves. Pulled spark plug and it’s black and smells like it’s running really rich. Could this be needle and seat valve issue on carb causing the smoking? It starts and runs fine.
I’m looking to purchase a new carb I see some that have 42mm intake and 62mm. I don’t have mine available to measure. Anyone know the stock intake diameter?

Hello, I’m helping out a neighbor. He has a 1993 Sportsman 4×4 and it needs chains and sprockets. They are difficult to find for this exact fit, unless by the piece from Polaris!
On Ebay I saw them for the 94 Sportsman, not listed as a direct fit though.
Does anyone know of a kit of all sprockets and chains for this one?
I spent the morning searching, I need some inside info please!
A buddy of mine (and possibly me!) is considering swapping out his 800 engine for a Maverick 1000 engine. I am sort of in charge of this, and trying to gather as much info as possible.
I realize the exhaust has to be modded, head has to be machined for cam sensor, ECM reflashed, and a tuner to control fuel, flywheel from the 800 engine.
The intake is the issue……is there any chance the intake manifold & throttle body off a new 1000 engine would work on the Maverick engine? And is there anyway this would still line up with the stock G1 airbox? Or is there only 1 option, and thats a complete custom aluminum piece?
Any other suggestions? And we’ve already been down the road of BBK/etc., and he is not interested in that,
My atv was stolen and so I have no use for these chains. Peerless ATV-Trac Tire Chains. Purchased new. Never used. I think they were around $90 new. Asking $60.00. Located in Courtland. Will ship for additional fee. Fit chart included in pictures. text or email is best. gregmortensen@hotmail.com

Hey everybody, A buddy of mine gave me an old Honda Fourtrax 300. It hasn’t run for several years so I’m at the beginning stage of testing it out. The first thing I did was hook up some jumper cables and got the clicking sound. Did the screw driver over the solenoid and got a clicking sound with a little spark but no turn over from starter or engine. The kick start will not budge. It will freely roll though. I’m just trying to test for spark plug fire first but was surprised that the kick starter lever wouldnt let me push it down. I’m also using a 12v car battery hooked up to the pos and neg wires via jumper cables to make sure I got a neutral green light. Any ideas about the kick starter? I found an online manual but I don’t have a service manual.
