New fourtrax owner.

I recently snatched up a 97 300 2wd and plan on building it. I’m wondering if anyone’s combined the 2in bracket lift with the brute/rancher shocks and if so, what kind of results did you achieve and is there a specific year/size brute/rancher the shocks should come from? Pics welcomed. I’m looking for inspiration on other upgrades as well. Thanks!

Good wheels???

I have been surfing and doing some research on tires, wheels, cdi’s………………
I’m the type that researches the crap outa things before I buy! Then I tinker and tinker some more.
So I’m pretty sure the offset is 5 and 2 stock right?? It seems as though when I find a tire I like its only made in 14"………….rims tend to be pricy so I really don’t want to (Can’t) spend 1500 bucks on tires and rims…………
So what do you people suggest as a good but inexpensive rim (steel or alloy I’m not fussy but black)

2016 Sportsman 570 Steering Stem Skeaking Like Hell! How To Fix??

I have a video of this, but internet is too slow to upload where I’m at right now… Also did a search, and found another similar thread where guys used WD-40 on the steering stem bushing under the headlight pod.

I’ve already done that (albeit used white lightning lubricant, not WD, really make a difference what lube you use? *haha, that’s what she said :guitar:), and no change.

I disassembled the bezel housing in front of the headlight pod where you hookup winch power cables to be SURE there isn’t a grease fitting on the stem somewhere (If I remember right, the older sportsman 500’s had a grease fitting there right? Almost all polaris sleds have one there too), but couldn’t find a thing.

What gives? Any ideas on how to stop the squeaking? It’s getting a bit ridiculous. I don’t think the power steering motor is making a peep… All the noise is coming from up higher.

Thanks for any tips!

Adjusting suspension

Hello,

i noticed on my Scrambler that front end will bottom out easily when braking. Probably because the winch was added and im very big (143 kg).

I have not noticed same on rear suspension (judging by rubber bottoming out stopper on shock).

Should i adjust both suspensions, any advices howmuch should i do it? Should i adjust the springs only or clicker on reservoir also?
