Went out hunting on a 680 Rincon today….

My buddy invited me to get out deer hunting and using his quads to get around. He let me drive the Rincon 680 and he drove the old 86 Moto 4 ( MINT, Original Tires!!!!! )

We put on roughly 100kms I’d say. The quad had 27" Mud Bugs. Now I have NO experience with either that quad or the bugs. I must say I was disappointed in BOTH.

We drove down cut lines, pipe lines, gravel roads & trails. When we were on the pipe lines, & cut lines we encountered semi frozen floating bogs/muskeg. It just seemed like as soon as we drove over them and kinda sunk down just a little, and I mean just a little the quad would bog. I had it in auto. It idled fine, drove fine, road smooth, had good suspension. It just seemed like it was geared way too high..

When encountering deeper wet grass, bog, skeg mixture it really had to be gassed to do anything. It just seemed under powered. I actually got stuck in one spot, and figured that if I hammered it the Bugs would shine and help pull the beast thru… Wrong. Took two of us to get it out. It was a small hole too!

Whats everyones experience with this quad?

No spark/neutral sensor

I have an issue I could use some help with.

Recently bought an 08 400ex. Replaced both neutral and reverse sensors and reconnected as the wires were cut and harness gone.

Now, with neutral sensor plugged in, I get no spark, but the neutral light works. If unplugged, I only get spark with the clutch pulled, even in neutral and obviously the light doesn’t work.

Could this be the switch in the perch?

programmer required?

haven’t modded much on the xp but i had my renegade done with a hmf slip on, programmer and air filter, most can am guys argued that the programmer isnt needed for a muffler swap. hows it go with the polaris?already have a muffler thats been on the shelf for a few years but never bothered, this was always the peaceful stock trail bike, now its my primary and its been getting more love. after doing a full kit on my buddys bike last weekend i miss the rumble.

Front Diff Question

Hi, recently bought a used 2009 Grizzly 350. During oil change, I had up on a jack to check over it all. The front right tire was harder to turn than the left, which was easy. So I took wheel hub off and checked the wheel bearing, not those, axle still harder to turn. Very good shape. Removed the axle, and that bearing right behind seal is impossible to turn by hand. Should be it like this or what? I’ve never owned a Yamaha so not sure if just a design .
Any advise or input would be great.
Thanks

hellooo

hey out there, new here, not to forums in the slightest. had most brands and i still have my 09 850 xp i bought new.has 4200 kms currently, so far i replaced 1 front control arm bushing and a belt last january, hard to argue with that. still on original brakes and tires until i bought new rims and tires the summer past.just did a frame rustcheck and full fluid change, wheel alignment and handle bushing clean and re grease. good to go again!

Hi guys i’m starting this thread about the new dbo570m clutch kit from dalton, i ordered the kit today and will install it once it comes in. Once i get the kit installed on my 2016 570 xmr i will post all the info i can gather.:tools1:

Winch mount woes 2007 Outlander 400

Hey folks,

So I ordered a few pieces from an outlander that was being parted out. I looked at the online parts fiche and ordered the following parts:

705001460 Winch Bracket, Black
705001351 Mounting Plate, Black and
705001073 Winch Bracket

The trouble is, I just can’t seem to figure out how these pieces are to attach to the front sub-frame.

Does anyone have the aftermarket manual or whatever it is that shows how these things bolt up to the outlander. I think these pieces are used on other models as well.

Help!! Mice chewed alternatoer wires

Looking for advise on replacing my alternator on my 2016 Rancher 4wd manual shift, manual steering. The mice chewed the blue wire in half with only about a 1/16" left and a couple of strands hanging. Unfortunately there is not enough wire left to make a connection.
The big question: How difficult is it too replace yourself I have done them on a motorcycle.
If somebody has done it any tips would be greatly appreciated, I really don’t want to take it to a dealer(bad word).
A bad ending to a good day of hunting.
