Gf went for a ride on the bike one night and noticed the headlights were flickering on and off then stopped working. I took a look at the bike and first thing i noticed is that turning the key to other on position is harder to turn and no lights come on anymore. also noticed my DPS will only stay on min mode it won’t go to max mode…..?

So I wanted to test my battery today. I had thrown a meter on it before an felt like it was dropping to low, but that was several weeks ago. I was headed out of town for work so I didn’t mess with other than adding a battery tender. So today I go out and put my meter on it and set it to record minimum and max. Starts up and drops to about 9.5 vdc. Within what I would consider normal and acceptable. Start it again and as the wheeler begins to crank, it turns over and then a pause and continues to crank. Battery voltage drops to around 5 or 6 vdc. Way low. My question is, is it starting on a compression stroke and it simply having to over come that to start? I’m not overly familiar with single cylinder set ups. The other concern is the battery. If that’s the case, I’m not sure where to call it good as far as a voltage reading when cranking it on a compression stroke. If it fires right over the voltage are good and the there seems to be no slowing or dragging of the starter, but not so much when it has that monetary pause.
I have a 2000 Honda rancher 350 Es that is having some weird issues and need someone’s help. It’s not knowing that the machine is in neutral even though it is. I’m not sure if it’s a bad screen or some other electrical issue because the machine does run. I started it right up, rode it around and it was fine. I stopped for a little and went to go back and ride it and it wouldn’t show that it was in neutral. I checked all the fuses because this happened the other day and replacing a fuse fixed it. Need help please!
Problem,
My Recon has 22×11-9" wheels on the rear it sets too low. i want to go to a 23x10x10" tire / wheel . where or how do i find a 10" wheel to fit a Recon. if you use wheel per machine look up it just shows 9" wheels for Recon. Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you for you time and knowledge.
Jerry
