Hey guys – first time poster here looking for some advice on an ’02 Rancher TRX350TEY that I picked up a little while ago. While I’m new to small engine work, I’ve got extensive experience in automotive repairs so I apologize in advance for being ATV illiterate. That said I have done my best to do some basic research on these things!
So on to my issue. When I bought it, the guy said he got it from someone on a trade and thought it needed a carb. It was spitting fuel into the air box under heavy throttle and had very poor engine performance (couldn’t even get up the ramps to the truck on it’s own power). I got it home and tried some basic things – new gas, new spark plug, rebuilt the carb, checked the choke valve, tried a brand new carb, and swapped the CDI from another project Rancher that I already have running. I haven’t touched anything on the engine yet but my only other thought is that it may be a timing issue. Any other ideas or would that be the next logical thing to check?
Here’s a video of what it’s doing (note – I have another choke cable hooked up to the carb so ignore the dangling one ;)):

I have a 2012 Polaris 500 HO Sportsman. So far its been a great machine, I have a small gas leak now and probably need to rebuild the carb, I found where an O-ring allow fuel to continue to fill the bowl when it wears or becomes shrunken and distorted from the ethanol in gas.
I cant seem to find the correct rebuild kit anywhere for the 2012 model. Can someone help me with a part number or suggest a kit that will work on my year/model machine!~ Much appreciated~

Hey guys I just bought a 2016 outlander 570 XMR a few weeks ago and I have some questions about the service…first of all I made the transition from a Honda to a Can Am so I’m in the learning process and I’m a do it yourself type of guy so I want to do the services on this machine myself so my first question is what’s the oil capacity for this 570
I now have a ’96 Foreman 400 (lots of snow plowing) which I will keep forever, but I need something for trail riding and chores. I would like my wife to be comfortable using the new machine for her lighter chores, but I’ll be using it on our 8 acres for wood cutting etc. It would be helpful if it didn’t tear up the turf anymore than necessary.
My dilemma is to choose between the 700 and 1000. As I see it (without actual experience) is that the 700 is cheaper, easier to buy a trailer for, and probably more nimble. The 1000 on the other hand would be a more comfortable ride all around, and it would have more power for sure.
We are older, and having the fastest machine is not one of our goals, but a good trail ride could help me get my wife to participate on a lot more recreational trips. I would get EPS and a winch for sure – probably windshield and roof.
I will have to haul the UTV for recreational purposes, and I’m thing about getting an enclosed trailer to haul and store the machine. Any comments on this would also be appreciated. Picking a trailer seems to be nearly as complex as picking the UTV.

Hopefully you guys can help me out. My brother in law has a 2011 honda rancher 420 es. He has been through 3 shift solenoids because the gear on the solenoid keeps breaking. Any ideas on why this keeps happening? And also ant way to convert to a manual shift since he is having so many problems out of the electric shift? Thanks in advance.
Ive got a rt30 winch that has been working but one day popped and now it wont work. I checked the winch with a battery charger and it still turns which you touch both terminals. I checked the power on the wheeler and it is getting power to the solenoid and is getting power to the blue and yellow wires that go down to the winch. The ends of the wires show 12 volts but when i attach ends to the winch, the solenoid just clicks and the winch doesnt move. I have checked all the connections and have put a new end on the blue wire but it still will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have been on the phone with warn and they didnt tell me anything i didnt know
