Noise in Clutch Housing Grizz 600

Hey all, I’m still wrenching away on my Grizz. I have it running and driving now bit have this odd noise still in the CVT side of the engine. I’ve replaced the wet clutch, one way, primary sheave, outside of the clutch plate that’s splined and belt. It sounds like it’s on the transmission side of the CVT. Here is s quick video. I didn’t tear apart the secondary when I https://youtu.be/R5-wcPoCCSs

Anything you all can suggest? I’m going to pull it apart and see if maybe it just needs some grease somewhere..

Thanks

Fuel Sending Unit for 2006 Sportsman 800?

Does anyone know a reasonably priced vendor/retailer for a 2006 Sportsman 800 fuel sending unit (complete)? Part Number(s) of the existing FSU are:

Polaris – 2520539
Bosch – F01R BOS 054

Also, where on the online schematics (for any vendor) is the fuel sending unit? Trying to figure out if the P/N has been changed/upgraded.

Thanks much.

Sportsman 500 EFI spark and fuel issues

My girlsfriend’s 17 year old bought an 06 Sportsman 500 EFI a few months ago. He didn’t ride it very much before it quit running. He recently brought it over to me to take a look at. I am not getting an spark or fuel pressure. I have pulled the fuel pump out of the tank and it will run with jumper wires off of the battery. I am getting 9.5v at the A and C wires at the connector, with the key on and off. The dash lights up with the key on. He replaced the module up by the radiator. I removed the ECM yesterday and if you shake it, it rattles. Did a circuit breaker brake off? This machine has had a hard life by the previous owner. As for no spark, I see the thumb throttle contacts are closed. I’m going to adjust the cable so the contacts are just open. I have tried to check for wiring harness issues, but maybe looking in the wrong areas. I need to pick up a service manual. Where is the best place to get one? Thanks for any assistance.

850 or 1000

So im ready to get rid of my renegade 1000 and get an outlander just wondering how much of a difference there is between the 850 and 1000 as far as power goes I know an 11 hp difference but I can get a leftover 850 for 8600 otd but cant find any 1000 left overs. I just don’t want to be disappointed in the power of the 850 coming off a 1000

660 blew belt with 1200 miles

Bought the bike a month or so ago with 950 miles. Owner claimed it had a clutch kit, couldn’t remember whos. Serviced primary, belt looked fine, possibly glazed some no cracks. Was told this 2004 bike had sat approximately 6 years of its life (belt dry rot?) Roughed up the pulleys with 120 grit flap wheel on dremel. Had Post office weigh a roller for me, they showed 8.5g with cover. I was thinking running in high on slow technical trails would be fine since the rollers were so light. Belt cover got super hot the other night. The next night blew the belt running 40mph or so after dark. Luckily someone came along and tow’d the bike thank God. New to cvts. Thought I read here that covers will get hot and it’s normal, that’s why I wasn’t concerned. Was that an indication of belt slippage? I’d installed an orange spring when I bought the bike even though EPI tech recommended blue. Bought a scale at Harbor Freight yesterday, the rollers are right around 17g with cover. Close to oem I think. Have dyno jet 4th notch needle, 155 main, 3.25 out mixture, Uni and pipe nozzle. Runs real well for what it is.

Would this have been prevented by running low on slow technical trails and should I go ahead and shim since I’m running 27" Bighorns? The bike pulls wheelys in high and will flip in low if there’s enough traction.

“Extra” battery cable… what’s it for ?

Yesterday I replaced the battery in my 2012 Sportsman 500 HO. Thought I was paying attention to details, but when I get the new batt in the holder and go to connect the cables, I see there is an extra, large red cable with an end that appears that it could be connected to the + battery terminal. I’m 99 % sure this cable was not connected to the battery, and the machine starts and runs fine and lights work. Also, this extra cable is not bent and formed as if it were connected to the battery. It appears to be left under the seat for some "optional use".

Any ideas ?
