When you’ve added 2 couches with engines to your collection . Just picked up 1000xp I’ve read about the framebraces and the gearbox cover. This machine will see the mountains in Phoenix Hatfield And Mccoy’s in West Virginia in the sand dunes in Glamis California I doubt I will ever even use the four-wheel-drive feature do I need to bother with the gearbox cover ?

Thought I read somewhere about cvt primary grease cover screws possibly interfering with the "cage" after 1.5mm shim? Think I’ve spread the primary as far as it’ll go (shims in place) and it’s not even close.
Been waiting for a new oem belt for 3 days while UPS sits on it 20 miles away so it’s not like I’m able to check it. What I do want is to be ready to go as soon as the belt arrives.
Any solid tips for breaking in a new belt? I’ve read baby it for 60 or so miles or ride it normally from the git go.

First off, im sorry about multi posts. Im learning the forum. Ive tried to edit and even delete the other posts but have not figured it out.
So heres the issue and where I have gone to try and narrow it down. There is a clunking in CVT side of my 02 660 grizzly.
What I have done so far is, completely removed the rear end. Removed wheels, axels, and differential. I have it on blocks right now. If you start it up and hit the gas while in gear, you can hear the clunking. Before I removed everything, it would even do it when rolling in neutral. I was told one way bearing possibly. But I believe I have to replace that from the other side of the motor. Any one have this issue before?
