2000 400ex Rebuild issues

Hey all! I’m new to this site and I could really use your help!
I recently picked up a 2000 trx400ex as a project for my son. I was told that all it needed was a piston and head assembly. We got the bike completely torn down and beginning with the repairs. I was getting ready to put the new piston in but realized the the crank shaft will only rotate about 180 degrees. I thought it was the timing chain but with that out of the way, i still have problems. I’d rather not split the cases if I don’t have to. Any suggestion on what might be the problem? Thanks all in advance!

2012 Sportsman XP to highlifter edition retrofit

Hey folks, new to the forum but felt obligated to share some insight about converting normal sportsman xp’s to a highlifter edition. There’s nothing currently out there that I could find aside from the actual manufactures technical drawings of the HL edition. So ever since they came out I’ve been wanting to integrate the bumper and the snorkel kit from it, I finally bought everything and decided to give it a go. Turned out really well and am extremely happy with the final product. It can be done….decided to make a little video of my progress and help better show what needs to be done

New 570 owner

Good day everyone ..

I have finally purchased my first Sportsman 570, its an orange 2016. great machine so far.
I am currently installing a new Champion 3000lb winch ( got to love black Friday sales cost $100 ).
I have the hardware installed but the electrical is causing me a little problem.
need some advice.
Where should I install the solenoid and wiring from the switch to the ignition has me concerned, just don’t want to screw up anything.

Any help would be great

thanks

Light bar installation 2015 Rancher

Ok I’m new here so any help is greatly appreciated! I have a 2015 Rancher and want to install an Alpena Quadfire on my quad. I have an installation kit that I bought with the light but I’m not very educated in installing switches and relays and the instructions basically suck. I am also considering connecting straight to my headlights. So thoughts, suggestions?
