grizzly 600 not starting

Hi. Recently i have done a top end rebuild on my grizzly 600 and took it out for a test drive the other day and it was running great, so back to the van to take home but while on tickover it just stopped and all i get now is the oil temp light come on with start button,
i have checked most the connections and all seem to be ok have tried a different starter soilenoid still the same problem i have crossed the solenoid teminals and it turns over but does not start so checked spark plug and there is no spark.

if the stator or pickup coil is faulty will this stop it from turning over, i have ordered a tester to check these parts, so any help to resolve my problem i would be very thankfull for your assistance.

Regards Paul

Enclosed trailer Good/Bad idea?

What are the trailer considerations for ATV/UTV’s?

I use an open trailer (5′ X 8′) for my ATV, and it works great except I have to remove the windshield for travel. I am going to buy Pioneer 1000, and I’ll need a bigger trailer to accommodate the bigger machine. My travel miles will be not be very extensive. I have never owned and enclosed trailer, and I’m wondering if going that route would be the best choice. One disadvantage is that the tongue weight is about 200 lbs. and it would be a pain to get hooked up. On the other hand it would serve as a great place to store the UTV.

I will have to go 7′ wide in order to have room to get in and out, and I think I will need at least a 12′ long trailer. For some reason, most if not all, manufacturers go 14′ long when the trailer width is 7′. The new machine will be about 10′ X 5′ 3", weight 1526 lbs., and I using a Toyota Sequoia (similar to a Tahoe) to tow it with.

Two other general questions are single axle or duel, and aluminum vs. steel.

As I said, I don’t have any experience with an enclosed trailer, and any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

2003 Sportsman 600 wont go over 35 mph

I am working on my atv that is lacking power and was overheating. I solved the overheating by changing head gasket. It still will not go over 35 mph. I am wondering if it could be the camshaft. The rocker arms seemed to move fine. It has a fairly new stator. The compression is 160 in one cylinder and 180 in the other. Is 180 too high? This made me think it could be camshaft. Thanks for any input.

Rear Diff Leaking

Hey guys,

I noticed my rear axle/differential leaking recently. I’m assuming its a seal. Can I get some assistance with a "how to" to fix this?

Would it be better to tear into the whole thing and replace bearings as well?

How difficult of a task is this and are there any special tools I would need?

It’s a 1989 Fourtrax 300, 2wd

Thanks

Hello Grizzly people!

I ditched my Polaris this summer for a brand new 2015 Grizzly special edition stealth black. Wow this thing goes everywhere. I’m very impressed with it. I have 500 KM on it now. Riding in deep bush and muskeg areas of Alberta. Had my first true winter ride last weekend. 73km in one day of technical terrain. It was AWESOME!

Cheers, Martin

This forum is depressing…

Ok. Ok. Ok. I’m just envious. I bought my fourwheeler (that’s what they are called in my neck of the woods, not bike or quad or atv) back in early 2012 as an 11 left over. I love riding it and go every chance I can. But I’ve only got about 1,100 miles on it and majority of those have been road miles. I’m jealous towards those neighbors up north who have unlimited access to trails starting in their back yards. I think I actually even saw a post on here not to long ago with a guy who had over 25,000 miles on a 2012! That’s nuts, I don’t even think I have put that many miles on an actual vehicle since then. Id really like to get over to Hatfield and McCoy in the next year or so, im trying to convince my fiancĂ© into going there for our honey moon in 2017 instead of Jamaica and using the money we’d save to buy another fourwheeler. So far I’m losing a winless battle. But hey a guy can hope and dream right?! Anyway to those of you across the border or anyone else even, let’s see some of your riding pictures. Wether it be an awesome view or an awesome story please share
