First ATV and first post, was very excited to get it home and play in the yard, however had issues immediately that have put a damper on my excitement. I immediately had issues shifting the ATV into gear and when I did get it in gear, it would jump forward or backward when in reverse at idle. When I turned it off, I could shift no problem, so I figured it must be something with the clutch. It was also stalling at times. Took it back to dealer and sure enough, they had to shim the clutch.
I then brought the ATV back home and all seemed well shifting into gear. The weather quickly changed and I was excited to see snow for the first time since I was a kid since I got to try out my plow! Plowing went pretty good except for the fact that the ATV kept stalling again and not necessarily when I was pushing snow, but more when I was just stopping to switch gears. Back to the dealer…
Got a call from the dealer today saying they were able to replicate the stalling issue and also the hard shifting (which was odd since this was previously fixed with the shimming) and that they also had several other new Polaris ATVs with the same issues and had opened a case with Polaris. Along with that there is a pending snow storm tomorrow, just my luck…
Ok, so in nosing around trying to figure out what year the blue Rincon was offered (2009 if anyone is curious) I discovered in 2013 that a "Sandstone Beige" fender was offered for the Rincon.
A while back I got a right body cover for the wife’s Rancher 2009 off of ebay, that was advertised as new, looked brand new, was tan with no camo. I had stripped what was left of the camo off of the Rancher anyway, but does anyone know the story with this color plastics?
the 4×4 was working only in reverse was plowing my driveway with it let it sit now no 4×4 at all the symbol on the cluster is not coming on either but the speedo works ive tried the "brown" wire trick for it to be awd its an older machine 2300 miles 340 hrs itps figured someone could point me in the right direction
I bought a Blue Sea 6 Circuit fuse box to so I could easily install a few accesories but I just pulled off the front panel to day and its pretty jammed in there. Has anyone else with a 2016+ mounted one of these elsewhere?
Hey guys,
New to forums other than reading. Ok so here’s the deal. I took on the job of tuning up 2 at vs both foreman. Pulled carbs off to clean and got side tracked. Well .. I left the airbox on both exposed and while I was at work it rained all day and filled both boxes up in turn filling both crankcase. Here’s my question.. as I’ve already drained both crankcases. Before I realized what was up I pulled the rope on one with the spark plug out and oil puked out of the hole.. I tried the other.. same deal.. what gives? Did the water force the oil up into the cylinder somehow? Or do I have major issues on my hands? Thanks in advance
Intermittent spark 2003 rancher 350 ES 4 x 4 my rancher will crank and crank with no spark but every 20 or so cranks. As the weather has gotten colder it gets harder to start, I know it is getting fuel, because it gets so badly flooded. I have physically held the spark plug wire and have even gotten shot every once in a while. I have changed out the plug wire assembly and still no change. What I don’t understand is how it can spark here and there, normally when it’s warmer I can cranking cranking it will eventually go, now it is so intermittent and is too flooded by the time it sparks that it will not start. Please help!
I’m headed to Ride Royal Blue for the first time next week. I’ll be taking my two little girls with me that ride 110cc quads. I don’t know anything about the area and will be staying at the comfort inn. Does anyone know where I can download the trails to my Garmin GPS that maybe mark the easier trails my girls can tackle with no trouble? . Thanks
