fixed my masters without buying parts.

I thought I would try to fix my master cylinders before I buy new.
I pulled the first one off handlebars took the lever off, Pulled the seal without damaging it. Tried to pull piston out with no luck so I drilled a hole into it’ s face then screwed a self taping screw into it. When it bottomed out the piston spun and then released. I pulled the piston out, took the middle seal off. There was a ton of rust on the piston and the bore. I cleaned the piston and used some fine sandpaper. I used a 12 ga shotgun brass brush with mothers mag wheel polish and a bore mop on a drill to clean the bore. Then carefully reassembled it using brake fluid for lube. Maybe I got lucky with no leaks.
I hope this helps someone.

Anti Freeze Smell

Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. Ran the quad all fall time without any anti freeze smell. Was in the heated garage took it out for a short ride today -25 Celsius came back put it back in the heated garage and could smell a slight anti freeze smell. Couldn’t see any leaks. Any thoughts?

Can Am Convert!

My name is Brandon and I’m from central NC. I’ve ridden Honda four wheelers my whole life. After 4 years of almost weekly trips to the Hatfield and McCoy trails I decided to upgrade. A 400ex is nice but this Outlander is over the top. It’s a 17 triple black XMR 1000. I picked it up this past Wednesday, Friday I installed RJWC dual exhaust, shifter, gas cap, air box lid and bumper corners. I also installed a QSC clutch, twin air filter and a back seat. I’ve ordered a tiger tail and mount, warn epic hook, synthetic rope, light bar, and Wetsounds Stealth 6 sound bar so hopefully I’m about done spending money on it. The mattress fund has taken a serious hit but I think it’s going to be worth it! Thanks for having me!

Sportsman 570 steam

Engine stalls while plowing

I know there are other posts on this sight about 570s stalling for no apparent reason, in fact my wifes 2015 has that issue. My 2016 has never had this problem…until now that it’s winter and use it for plowing. It starts and runs fine for the first 5 minutes or so but then suddenly quits – everytime just after I come to a stop and put in reverse. When I try to restart it won’t even turn over, acting like the battery is dead. I’ll try again in a few seconds and it’ll restart with no problem. It’s only ever done it once in each of 3 plowing session. Any ideas?

new machine can’t decide which

my two choices consist between

outlander DPS 570 with heated hand grips, full skid plates, winch system and most importantly tracks
FOR $15 851.87

and

outlander DPS 1000

with the same options but without tracks
FOR $15 693.95

the predicament is that i want loads of power but i want i also want tracks just as much but i can’t afford to have both

i live in canada and would love to have the tracks in the winter and be able to use them on the beach in the summer

but i also love trail riding and want the power to prep food plots and other such things in the woods

so what are my options and i also have no idea if the 570 has the power for tracks
