I’m wondering y’alls thoughts on what’s going on with my rear diff, I only have 50 hrs on it and I’ve had to change the gear oil twice. It’s looking pretty bad, lots of metal flakes when I drain it. Also it’s really dark and thick. How does your oil look after you charge yours? Thanks!
Im hearing a "click" noise when the front suspension is compressed, as in out on the trail when it has to flex according to the terrane. It has an identical sound as if u took a rock and was taping the frame with it. Also when the front suspension extends fully im getting this clank nois as if the internals of the shocks are slamming togather when they limit out.
I found the frame that holds the front bumper to the bike where it bolts up bY where the factory rad would be and down by the front diff were very loose. I tightened it up. Ut im still getting noises from the front.
Also the rear sway are bushings are trashed.
Ive rutienly greased this machine since new so not sure y the bushing are shot. And the clicking noise in the front ive had since new
Any ideas
Also i think the front shocks are done, i started seeing oil residue on the top of them inside the coil spring
hi guys >> great forum!! I’ve learn a lot just from reading and doin a little research!! have ran into a problem the day before yesterday,,, my primary is shot and wanted to know if i could install a newer model primary from another 850 to mine ???
Does anyone have the part number for the oil filter that I can pickup from Autozone or another box store. I just got a used ATV and i wanted todo a quick oil change before i order the factory oil and filter.
I have a question about the head gasket torque sequence. When i turn the bolts back 90 degrees the second time the bolts are basically loose at that point. So what is the point of the beginning part of the sequence if you basically loosen them then torque to 11lb then turn 90 at the end of the sequence. Why do the first part?
Well not sure what’s up, dropped bike at the dealer today, it would not start, some times it would attempt to turn over but then instantly die. So I would hit the green start button and it would turn over strong then bam shut down. No check engine lights, cleaned and checked all the grounds. Checked all the fues and relays, could not find anything. Dropped it at the dealer and they said they might get to look at it 3 weeks to a month and the will for sure have it back by march…… like really? March that long. I paid 13k almost for this quad not even 3 weeks ago, I got 100 miles and 13 hours and they won’t even take a second to look at it. Now thinking about it I have few ideas on what it could be.
Gear postion (why some times it will try to start but then some times not)
Silinoid not hitting
OR bad starter switch.
Maybe I’m wrong, what do you guys think? When you hit the green switch it dose absolutely nothing as if you where in gear, I tried holding the brake and starting it and that did nothing, will only the foot brake let you start in gear? Because I did not try that. Just kinda sick paying this much cash and not one dealer wants to even look at it and I bought it brand new, it’s at the dealer I got it from.
Just picked up a Sportsman 400 with 300hrs and 750miles. Only $2000! Looking back i think i could have gotten it for $1800. I needs a few thing but i hope to have it running tuned up in no time.
Just picked up a Sportsman 400 with 300hrs and 950miles for $2000. Very happy with the purchase. It needs a few maintenance items, hence my registration on the forum. I have a ton of questions.
Have tried to send DX Trigger USA a couple emails regarding their throttle add on. Emails get bounced back. Anyone know if they’re still in business? Any other options to ease aching thumb?
