93 Polaris Sportsman 4×4 2 stroke.
New battery filled and charged by me on slow charge for several days.
Installed it as requested.
The problem before was it only had a click from the solenoid. The old battery was definitely dead, even desulfating charger didn’t save it. So I put in the new one.
So, when I turn the key on and push the starter button it just clicks once.
If I take my roll around charger and hook to ground and the starter side of the solenoid and turn it on it cranks over ok.
I’m sure this is a bad solenoid. Question: is there an interchange for the solenoid from auto parts or other atv/mc brands?
I got a 09 550, new owner here. The front rims are tweaked pretty bad, the beads leaked so bad I had to break them down and clean the pebbles out of there, how the heck do they get way up there anyway?
I want to get a new pair of rims to put on so I can take out the shake. I found some ITP for real cheap, but they’re 5+2, where the stock I think is a little flatter. It looks like they’ll fit without hitting the tie rod ends, anybody definitely if they’ll work?
Ran into another problem . How do you get the pads out of this type of caliper > /? 1996 6×6
I took the set screw out of the top of one of the pins. ? I looked in my manual. Did a search on this forum and you tube.
I hope someone can help.
Thanks KK4
Hope all have a great Christmas holiday.
Maybe not exactly the right forum but, how does the front drive unit activate, I mean mechanically? new owner, when the bike is up on the stand in 2wd, the left front spins freely (well, bent disc so it hangs up a little) but the right front catches and pulls, no clunking so no bad CV joint I think, but I can really feel the ring and pinion teeth going by each other.
My question is, does the right front axle stay engaged to the diff all the time? Or is something wrong with the actuator so mine does? It’s a lot more resistance to turn the right by hand than it is the left, and the bike always pulls a little to the right.
I had a 86 dodge 150 that had rf axle always engaged and the lf was 2 piece with a vacuum actuator that slid a sleeve over the splines to lock the 2, is the reason I’m wondering. Oh yeah, 09 550 eps
