Honda Rancher 350 Pushrods

Hey guys, this is my first post.

I have a fairly new to me 02 Honda Rancher 350 4×4 Elec SHift. WHen I got it, it would run but not rev up. I figured it was just a carb issue b/c it had been sitting for a while.

Bought carb rebuild kit, installed and cleaned the carb around 15 times. I never could get it any better. Ripped the airbox cover off in frustration and saw exhaust in the airbox. Figured that the valves needed adjustment. Adjust them and it ran fine except for minor engine tick. That was probably 10-15 engine hours ago.

It started doing the same thing again where it wouldn’t rev up. Cleaned carb, no better. Pulled head cover off to start to adjust valves and noticed that the pushrod for the exaust side was mushroomed and had up and down play. The bottom of that rod looks fine. Do you think I can just replace that pushrod and its rocker arm, or do I need to tear down to the bottom.

Sportsman 570 etx battery AGM brand new

I have a brand new AGM Throttle X battery for sale. The battery model is adx14ah-bs. I purchased this trying to fix a low voltage issue with my quad before figuring out that the voltage regulator was bad. I took this battery out and put my stock one back in and trickled charged this one and put it in the basement.

You can check fitment at the throttle x battery website.

’06 sporty 800 efi upper end ticking?

Hello All ,

Love the site bunch of great peeps on here . I recently purchased a 06 sportsman 800 EFI twin and it seems to have this annoying ticking sounds like coming from the upper end ???
Has anyone else experienced this issue 0? Is this just a PooPoo tick so to speak or is it a prelude to a catastrophic failure in my future?

Thank You

Santa was good… real good

Well. Christmas morning the wife… I mean Santa.. was REALLY good to me. I was blindfolded and walked to these two beautiful 2017 570 SP’s.

We are first time ATV owners and are beyond excited. We spent a few hours casually riding them around to start the break in process. Gotta say, we absolutely love them. The digital gauge is amazing, active handling, engine breaking, these babies are smooth. I’m absolutely stunned how quiet these actually are.

I’m looking for a winch and am having difficulty deciding if I should get a Polaris or a Warn. I have heard great things about warn, and nothing really on the Polaris. The plan is to also purchase a plow. What I noticed is that the Polaris frame for the snow plow hangs a little low and it’s permanently inently mounted on the frame, while the wren frame doesn’t hang any lower. The model I saw this on was a 2016 and the guy at the dealership wasnt sure if the 2017 was the same. Anyone have an idea? Any input if I should go with warn or a Polaris?

2004 sportsman 600 Carb Question

Hi All,

I bought a non running 04 sportsman 600 and it is a mess. I got the new CDI for it as I was told that is the only thing wrong with it but I was robbed and lied to ( all my fault for being a sucker).

I took the carb apart and gave it a good inspection and good cleaning as per the service manual. I even set the float exactly like they said and the mixture screw to 2 1/2 turns out. Nothing leaks when the carb is in hand with fuel to it but when I mount the carb on the quad and go to fire it up it seems like it sucks all the gas into the motor and hydro locks it up and soaks the plugs. I can get it to run for a few seconds on its only with a tiny bit of gas and starting fluid but if I simply just hook up the gas ffed line it will just suck it all into the motor during cranking.

A side note:for fuel hook up to test if it would run or not I only had a gravity feed line forma funnel hooked up and not the fuel pump, does this matter a the fuel pump draws vacuum from the head?

Any step by step tips you guys can help me with to use as a checklist to trouble shoot this so I can avoid going to buy a new carb off Amazon for $100?

I have sunken so much money into misc parts so far to get to this point and want to avoid any further senseless spending if I can.

BTW, I can’t believe how dishonest the seller was about this quad, he seemed so genuine but totally gave me a nightmare and its my fault for trusting anyone.

TIA
