Well guys I haven’t been around a while and I’m starting to work on my 88 350d, it died in a creek a while back and I parked it. I decided to get it out and get it running and do a little restoration/build. I know y’all like pictures so I’ll start with these.
The rear chunk needs rebuilding, but I took it apart and got the mud and rust out, wire wheeled it, and currently flushing it with gear oil.

Hello Everyone; I have an 2008 sportsman 800 EFI touring that is driving me nuts! Runs amazing for 5 or 10 min after starting, then begins to sputter and cough like its out of fuel or cant breath.. If the machine is simply turned off and restarted, the problem is gone!! but then returns again after various periods of time.. It was suggested that I replace the Bosch sensor and harness on the air intake, as that is a common problem area with this model and I did. The new harness is heavy duty and I was careful to make sure it was installed correctly. but this did not help.. Also there are no engine codes. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it..
I am thinking about putting tracks on my 14 570 sportsman. The question is do you get any of the fine snow dust up in the clutch intake or throttle intake? I was wondering if it would help to put frog skins over the openings? I plan on using it for ice fishing and some back country coyote and bobcat hunting. I appreciate the responses.
Thanks
Frank
i own a 2013 450 grizzly and have recently had all sorts of problems with it. I rebuilt the carb and not knowing fully what I was doing I took the top apart and lost a little spring that went on the needle set. I ordered a new set and replaced it all but sill having issues with the way it runs. Ive narrowed it down to either the reverse switch/wire or the needle set not being properly put together. can the needle set cause it to run sort of like it isn’t getting fuel? notice I mean the needle set not the float needle. in the image its number 2.
Hello Everyone; Im Praying someone out there can point me in right direction on correcting an ongoing problem with my 2008 sportsman 800 EFI touring.. The machine runs perfect for periods of time ranging from 5 to 10 min. Then for reasons unknown it begins to run very rough as though the fuel mix is off. If the machine is turned off and restarted, it will begin to run perfect again for another period. this can be done all day long. sometimes it can go 30 min without failing. I have replaced the Bosch sensor and the harness on the air intake. I was very confident this would resolve the issue due to the research I have done, but it did not.. when it is not failing the machine is a beast and runs amazing. then begins to spudder and cough like its out of fuel or cant breath. PLEASE HELP. FYI, I am new to this forum, so take it easy on me if i seem like a newbie.
Just wondering if anybody else is getting SPAM on their phones from the Grizz Central website? It has only started since the site changes.
About twice a day I’ll get a SPAM saying my phone is xx% damaged or I have viruses and I should download a cleaner….or something like that anyway. Of course the only way to get out of it is too completely shut down the browser and start over again.
I ONLY get this with the new Grizzly Central website. I have not experienced this with any other webite.
I have a fairly new to me 02 Honda Rancher 350 4×4 Elec SHift. WHen I got it, it would run but not rev up. I figured it was just a carb issue b/c it had been sitting for a while.
Bought carb rebuild kit, installed and cleaned the carb around 15 times. I never could get it any better. Ripped the airbox cover off in frustration and saw exhaust in the airbox. Figured that the valves needed adjustment. Adjust them and it ran fine except for minor engine tick. That was probably 10-15 engine hours ago.
It started doing the same thing again where it wouldn’t rev up. Cleaned carb, no better. Pulled head cover off to start to adjust valves and noticed that the pushrod for the exaust side was mushroomed and had up and down play. The bottom of that rod looks fine. Do you think I can just replace that pushrod and its rocker arm, or do I need to tear down to the bottom.
