I’ve decided to add the 7" Auxbeam flood to the rear of my grizzly (Too much light, i know), but I can’t find in any searches on how you guys are mounting to the rear rack?
I am helping a friend fix his 2003 Polaris Sportsman 600. Right now it has spark on one of the 2 spark plugs. My friend said he spent $500 a few years ago on stator and other ignition repair. How can I tell if he has had the ignition upgrade that Polaris recommends? How can I check the coil?
My bike will not run well with the air box lid on.I have removed the air filter to eliminate a dirty filter (no change). It seems there is too much vacuum with the lid on. All hoses are in good condition. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hey guys… just looking on some quick feedback between the two plow systems I have listed. I currently have the Warn Provantage system, have yet to use it since my winch is on backorder. But I’m debating on the Polaris Glacier plow system, since Polaris has a special going on now where you get a free mount when purchasing all of the parts of the system. I do like the fast on and off, even the the pins underneath don’t bother me, but the ground clearance loss on a center mount sucks. How is plowing with a front mount? I’ve heard mixed reviews about the quality of the build on the Glacier system, but is that previous models where the welds break? Let me know if it’s worth the hassle to return the other plow and switch to the Polaris product. Price wise I’d be looking at about $500 into the Glacier system unless the dealer gives me a better price, and the Warn Provantage system is around $440 if I remember correctly.
2002 Polaris sportsman 700.
I simply changed the front A arm bushings. Now, something in one of the front hubs binds badly when you move foreword or in reverse.
I only jacked the front up 1-2 inches only to take tension off of A arm to loosen. Changed bushings then put back down.
What did I do????? IT feels like the left front hub is binding.
Hey guys, i’m new to the forum. i have a problem with the overheating indicator light. it stays on when engine is started? any suggestions? Where to start looking first? Also is there a place to check the coolant or does this bike not have that?
When plowing snow and using the winch a lot, after about an hour or so, the battery light flashes, and the speedometer flashes also. It is a good battery, so I am thinking voltage regulator. I can’t find one, does the 2005 not have one, and just uses the ECM to control the voltage?
I have had my 2013 sportsman 500 H.O since new and this thing even new will not start in the cold. Seems anything below -15c and not a chance. battery is good gas is good is there something i am missing. Full choke -20c will turn over all day and not fire. warms up full choke no problem. If anyone else has had this or knows of a fix for this i would be very grateful im getting very frustrated. thanks for your imput
I have had this 4wheeler since new in 2013, the original battery last until about 6 months ago when the battery light started blinking and then wouldn’t start. I got a new battery 4 months ago, and it sat for about 2 months and wouldn’t start. I had a 24 inch light bar that was wired to the battery, but I had the switch and everything unplugged. It sat up for a long time with the light bar connected on the old battery and never had a problem. I removed the light bar charged it up, and now everytime I turn the headlights on the battery light comes on and blinks regardless of RPM. The battery tested good, so I am thinking it’s either the stator or the voltage regulator. Where is the voltage regulator located on these rigs? I can’t seem to find it.
