2012 Sportsman 550 X2 Battery removal?
Can I get info on removing the hold down strap for my battery. The battery is located under the front storage box. I have played with the sliding rubber boot that is attached to the strap without any luck. I do not see a screw or bolt that might release it. Stumped!
2012 550 X2 rear tire rub / axle alignment
I have a problem with my right rear tire rubbing against the rear seat support arm. I have a friend that had the same problem with his 850 X2. The dealer said the axle can shift out of alignment causing this. His dealer made an adjustment to put it back into its proper place. Has anyone else had this problem? I have the stock rims and tires on mine.

Which HD Springs do you recommend? 2014 Sportsman 800
I am getting ready to purchase a set of HD springs for my 2014 Sportsman 800. Not sure if I should go with the EPI, High Lifter, or the factory Polaris ones? The reason I want to upgrade to HD is because I plow with it, so I think that’d help the front out. I have a Wes Seat/box on the back rack. It squats a lot with a passenger on it. Stock just seem way too soft! Let me know what you put in your quad and why you like them! Thanks in advance!
First Time ATV buyer
Well today I purchased my first ATV (a fixer upper) 2003 Honda Recon 250 and signed up for the thread. Hopefully during the project I can learn a TON and also will try to track the progress as well with pictures.

radiator relocation kits
Hello everyone I was thinking about a radiator relocation kit for my 17 850 max xt-p. I read a lot about overheating and I just don’t want it happening. Also thinking about ceramic coating my pipes to prevent the dreaded melting plastic syndrome :th_smiliepissed: Anyhow, what is the preferred kit being used? I did do a search but nothing helpful turned up.:th_smiliefrustrated TY DKinNH

Wrapped Exhaust new heat shield.
Decided to try something ordered a roll of wrap cut it in half and had enough to do both bikes. Ordered heat shield that came out of China off e bay, and went to lowes got a vent cover did a little designing and cutting its cream colored right now will paint them black if that works take it off if it runs it to warm but with all the vents I"m hoping this helps the heat issue on the leg on that side.
Anyone else wrap the exhaust or done any customizing trying to fix this heat issue.??? :susel:
For the record the heat shield fit perfect with some trimming. I was worried about it hitting something as close as it is in there but everything is working with them on.
Did this to both bikes the 450 and the 570. What you guys think???:shot:
Thats the 450 I wrapped with camo.
wrap and heat shield in place.
570 with the vent.
