I’m thinking about trying to adapt the Spectre 8148 3" air duct flange to the airbox so I can use a clamp-on filter and eliminate the sealing problem as some have done on older grizzes. My question is I’m new to EFI and I know the rubber intake comes into the box a few inches for some reason, is it going to mess things up if it is cut off at the edge of the box? Didn’t know if this would alter the fuel programming.

Bought a 2002 400EX a few months back and noticed the rear axles had a couple of washers on each side. Figured it was someones attempt at making it wider.
When I went to remove them it turns out the axle splines are too long and the axle nut won’t cinch down.
As far as I can tell they are all factory parts. Looking through the parts diagram it doesn’t look like there should be any spacers here, so what am I missing? Almost like the wheel flanges are too short. This is where they would need to be for the axle nut to work.

Hello, my name is Mike and new to this forum. My wife and I bought 2 new 2016 570s. They are the base models till we see if we like this sport, which we do !! While servicing my machine, I found that the wire harness that runs by the throttle body was rubbed through and bare wires. It rubbed through were it was tied strapped to the cable. This wire harness goes to 4 sensors for the throttle body. The piece that the cable goes in has a sharp edge that worn though the harness and into the wires. This machine was also in to the dealer for a throttle position code and I have not driven on the trail since. Looking at my wife’s and found hers just was starting. Mine has only 737 miles hers 650 miles. I would look at your machines to prevent a lost weekend of riding. Will try to post pictures later, Not tech savoy. Also our machine were built in June 2016
