Project Kodiak

Starting a thread, have not got that far yet but we went and picked up a new 16 SE Kodiak for the test mule of the things I have planned to come. Cams, port, piston air box etc etc.

I’m excited and that’s fun I don’t get excited this much over atv’s like I used to years ago. I think this tiny package with 65 rwhp will be a blast to ride.

clutching needs some help for sure I will start with some simple weight changes and progress as project goes.

going to keep most pictures for project on the company facebook page but I will try to link the you tube videos I have planned here on how to change parts and dyno runs

Hello,
I’ve recently purchased a 2013 Can-Am Commander. It’s really sharp as the previous owner put on custom graphics from CreatorX, and added the light bar and lighted flag holders. Am enjoying it in the Mojave desert. I’m interested in sharing information about the Commander.

EPI clutch kit 2016 or so Grizz

I am currently gathering info (and cash!!) on possible mods I will be doing come spring. I was surfing the net and came across the EPI mudder clutch kit. Is the kit worth it? There are wet-clutch springs in the kit so should I slug it and replace the gasket while there? The sec. spring in the kit is what color equivalent? Are the rollers greased or greaseless and what weight?……………………………………. …………

Planing on 27 or 28inch black water evos or pitbull growlers or maybe growler 2.5s. Wheeler specs in sig.

Interco vampire 2, anyone tried them yet?

I have interco vamps on my rancher right now, but need new front tires, and im going to swap to itp delta 12" wheels all around. So looking for a new tire to run.

The new vampire 2 has me interested, but can’t find a single review of them

I have also read about zillas, mud bugs, and of course normal vampires.

Probably 80% say vampires will usually out perform zillas and mud bugs, ride smoother, last longer and climb better. My only complaint is they are considerably heavier. I am very happy with my current vampires, but if I’m changing tires and can pick a better one I’m all for it. Don’t want outlaws as they are heavy and too expensive, also don’t ride smooth.

What do you guys think?

2007 Outlander 400 Standard Equipment for Reference

Hey guys, I’m new here I just got a 2007 400 XT. I’m a rather meticulous person and I’m trying to figure out what goes where and if my machine is missing anything and part diagrams can only help so much.

So the first thing is the front and rear trays, my machine was missing the rear cover and the inside is completely empty. I ordered a factory tool kit and the cover but I’m curious is I’m missing anything else from there. Same thing in the front, there’s a giant gap where it seems something should be against the back of the tray, luckily I have the winch controller but I’d like to know for sure. If anyone could take a picture and show me a complete setup I’d appreciate it more than you’d believe.

The next thing I’m not sure I need is the muffler cover, on mine the side cover started to melt so I ordered a new one and I’m waiting for it in the mail, the thing is I’m not sure if the part listed muffler cover is supposed to bolt to that right side cover or where the hell it actually goes. If anyone could take a picture of that too it would better my chances of sleeping at night because its the little things that get me.

Thanks in advance

New from Manitoba Canada

Just picked up a 2000 Foreman s. 450, plastics are in decent shape but the important part is she purrs like a kitten. Picked it up with 8500 km on it.

I have a couple questions though, this is my first honda. First the fan has been bypassed and put on a switch allegedly because it wasn’t coming on. From what I’ve read these quads are very warm. I’m basically pushing snow with it in my driveway so do I need to even turn the fan on? Does it hurt if I leave it on all the time? Second, the light to the right of the neutral light comes on intermittently. I’m assuming it’s a temperature light? It flickers on and off quite often right from the moment I fire the quad up. Now those to things combined I really don’t know where my temp is running, right now with it being -25 c I doubt it will overheat but would rather fix this then have the censors not working. I have no idea wher to begin looking for the problem and any info would be great. Oh ya and what’s the flashing code on the bottom of the dash???

Now the third. Rear brakes are shot. When I go in to replace is there anything I should be looking for in particular or anything else I should do while it’s apart?

And last question. What should I be running for oil? Synthetic? Keep in mind I am in a cold climate and typically this thing is being trailers out to the lake for ice fishing or cleaning the driveway. Any input from you guys is appreciated, I’ve been reading for a couple days now and it a appears there are a lot of great guys on here.
