Ricochet Skid Plate Install Question

Good morning Gentlemen,

I was installing the Ricochet Full Skid Plate kit on my 2017 Outlander 1000 XMR last night. Everything installed up onto the bike like butter. I got to the rear trailing arm skid plates and had no idea how to install them. I think the trailing arm was revised for model year 2017, and there is no longer anywhere to install those plates. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, if anyone has any pictures on how to install the front bash plate with the Can-Am Extreme Bumper, that would also be appreciated much. Thanks in advance, guys!

WOW! I found a dirty girl!

Well, that made you look.

I picked up a 2005 TRX300ex from a buddy who got her all muddy, fell off, got banged up a little and put her up wet and dirty. He made a half-assed attempt to hose her off but in the end it was, well, half-assed. The quad then sat in his garage for a solid 2 years with no love or attention at all.

A few crisp hundred dollar bills and she followed me home like a hungry puppy.

Now I’m not a lazy man (there would be no chance I’d treat something like that that I paid money for) but I’m also a man that can appreciate the help of some good chemicals to ease me through the tough and dirty times in life. Lone Star Beer and Jameson whiskey are 2 I rely on regularly, but unfortunately they are about as effective at cleaning as the last girl I dated.

I have a dirty quad with baked on and aged fine mud covering every sexy crevice of her finely tuned body and I would like to see what she is really made of. What I need is a chemical/cleaner/unicorn/magic wand/bikini clad cleaning team to help me out. I did make a run at scrubbing but with all the nooks and crannies and it was as effective as foreplay on a fence post. I would like some spray on/spray off miracle juice if it exists.

What have you guys used with success to make your dirty girls ready for church? I mean all of her: cables, frame, plastic, tires, wheels, and especially the engine. I’m not talking about some mud that got flung on her at the last semi-pro wrestling match at the local strip club and was hosed off as soon as you paid your tab, but some seriously neglected overweight buck toothed nerd with bad skin hide her in the closet when your friends come over type of dried, caked on mud. Some of you know what i’m talking about, and yes it’s that bad.

I want the down low dirty details of how you made it happen as well. And we all like a dirty before and after pic too…

Thank you all in advance for your help in getting my dirty girl clean.

Can AM Outlander 800 Exhaust temperature

Hi,
Im looking at buying a Outlander 800 09 model and the seller has only had it for 6 months. He is not happy with it as the exhaust is getting too hot and melting the seat and plastics. He doesn’t want to look into fixing it he just wants it gone. It has a aftermarket exhaust on it but still has the standard which i would put back on straight away. Can anyone tell me if this solution would help or what should i do if i purchased it to rectify the problem. Is it a easy fix or should i not worry about this bike and purchase another one?
Cheers,
Zac

02′ Grizzly not going into low gear.

I have a 2002 yamaha grizzly 660, and I have a problem with changing gears into low. Reverse and high work fine but when I try and get into low I heard a grinding sound and quit, I’ve tried several times now and I cannot get it to engage at all. Any tricks I can try? If I need to add more info just let me know, thanks.
