Let’s See More January Pictures…..

Here in Colorado we have periods of winter cold, then snow, then warm and then rain so every week can be different.
The week after New Years (2 weeks ago) it was cold, then dumped snow which piled up to 3′ deep in some of the open valleys above town and stayed until it started to rain earlier last week.
Over the last few days, Ridgway has been in the zone between the weather moving out of the Northwest crossing just to the north of here, the weather moving up from the Gulf of Mexico passing against the east side of the continental divide and a 3rd system from the Southwest by way of the Baja of Mexico.
This morning as it started to snow (about 1" an hour) I took a drive and got a few pictures.

(the snow was building up on the back of the horns)

There wasn’t much early traffic, so after passing him I turned around and warmed the camera lens by the defrost vent.
Here are a few more pictures.

2016 Grizz mods?????????????

Hi guys! Does anybody have experience with an EHS controller and Barker dual exhaust? 8-10 ponies at the rear wheels sounds good, but will it be STUPID loud? I plan on doing lots of mods come spring like tires (black water evo’s or pitbull growlers have’nt decided yet) EPI spring, more fiddling with the clutches etc.

IF the exhaust does give me 8 ponies or so maybe the clutching can wait cause all my plans are NOT CHEAP!! Performance wise I will be getting tires most definitely in 27" or 28" I am leaning towards the Growlers more and more. This all depends how thick my wallet is come spring! LOL!

American Star

Does anyone know if stock Can Am tie rod ends will fit on American Star Pro-X Chromoly tie rods? Love the tie rods but the ends are horrible. The bolt is too skinny. Loose after every ride. We have tried lock tight, spacers, hundreds of dollars in nord lock washers, etc. Nothing works. Steering is very loose after a 15 minute ride every time. Also does American Star make a fix for this problem? Do not want to go back to OEM tie rods, they are horrible and bend/break. Having trouble contacting anyone at American Star about this issue.

Used 2015 SP

Hi everyone…
I purchased a used 2015 SP that was used as a golf cart in a retirement community in Southern AZ.

I wanted PS As well as Hill decent control so the 2015 Sportsman 570 SP was my selection. I now need a 3500# winch and front and rear brush guards.

I have a 1996 425 Magnum and love it but the charging system will not keep up with a winch used in a loader configuration. It also doesn’t have PS to enable an old guy to easily operate it with a full front bucket load. So I reluctantly bought a used 2015 Sportsman 570 SP unit.

I want a front and rear 2" reciever hitch as well as an OEM Polaris 3500# front winch. I need a 2" receiver under the front winch to facilitate the use of a small bucket loader. I plan to run a Swisher Universal bucket #15714 as well as their snow plow attachment along with their rear mounted Swisher Road buster Commercial Pro Driveway Grader #20020

Can you guys point me in a direction so as to save $ on an OEM 3500 rope winch kit as well as the front and rear brush guards? Any ideas on an option for the 2" receiver hitches?

Thanks,
Ken

PS: I want but can’t afford rack extenders. Any idea how to save on those too?
